Chapter 3 Preview - Jack Ruby’s Mafia Ties and the ‘Hit’ on Lee Harvey Oswald?

One look at Jack Ruby’s mafia ties and it becomes clear why a living Lee Harvey Oswald was a threat to organized crime in the southern United States.

Jack Ruby – Mafia Hit Man or grieved vigilante?

Even more important, Jack Ruby had the other element needed to make him the ideal hit man in Dallas following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy – Close ties to the Dallas Police Department.

Local journalist Seth Kantor, who was in the Presidential press follow-up car in Dealey Plaza and knew Jack Ruby personally, told the Warren Commission:

  • Police Station Regular – Ruby was a frequent visitor to Dallas police precincts, often bringing along coffee, sandwiches and sweets.
  • Police Freebees – Ruby welcomed police officials and lawmakers to his Carousel Club in Dallas where he provided them with booze, food and his exotic dancers.
  • Well Entrenched – Ruby knew up to 80% of the police officers on the Dallas Police Force, as well as all cops who patrolled the neighborhood of his Carousel Club.

But then Kantor stunned the Warren Commission with this shocker:

  • Ruby at Parkland – After the shots rang out, Kantor was among the press who raced to Parkland Hospital. About 30 minutes after the shooting, just as the announcement was made that President Kennedy had died from his wounds, Kantor claims that he saw and had a brief conversation with Jack Ruby.

MORE TROUBLING WHYS

Why was Jack Ruby at Parkland Hospital within minutes of the President being shot?

And what does this have to do with pictures of Ruby at the police station on at least two occasions while Oswald was in custody?

Chapter 3 of Through The ‘Oswald’ Window discusses the most shocking WHY of all. Why was Ruby the only civilian who knew the exact minute that Oswald would be transferred from the police station to county jail?

Of course, the major reason so much debate still surrounds the JFK assassination decades later is because Ruby killed Kennedy’s alleged assassin.

Was the truth silenced forever by Ruby’s act? Or can the allusive answers finally be found by looking into Jack Ruby’s mafia ties?
