The Orville Nix Film
Of all the ‘secondary’ JFK assassination films, the Orville Nix footage verifies the violent backward movement of the President’s head upon impact of the fatal shot.
Nix took his motion picture on Elm Street, filming the President’s limousine as it passed the controversial grassy knoll. In this film, Abraham Zapruder can be seen standing on a cement pedestal opposite Nix.
Some researchers suggest the Nix film shows the grainy image of a gunman in a classic military firing position behind the picket fence atop the grassy knoll, but it has never been substantiated.
What is evident and disturbing in the Nix film is the moments following the explosive head shot. Secret Service agent Clint Hill can be seen climbing on top of the trunk of the car, too late to save President Kennedy, but perhaps saving the life of Mrs. Kennedy, who is seen crawling out onto the trunk of the car.
To our shock and horror, we would learn that The First Lady subconsciously left the back seat to retrieve a piece of her husband’s skull.
As explained in chapter 7 of Through The ‘Oswald’ Window, Mrs. Kennedy’s instinctive reaction strongly suggest that the kill shot came from the grassy knoll, not the Book Depository Building.
