The Robert Hughes Film

The Robert Hughes film is famous for what it doesn’t show as much as what it does show.

It does show some of the last moments of JFK’s life as his limousine turns onto Houston Street and approaches the Book Depository Building on Elm Street.

Once that turn is made, it is believed that the Hughes camera was turned off only to be turned on again after the shots rang out.

The Hughes film does not show Oswald in the Book Depository window. However, it does show people scrambling toward both the Book Depository and the grassy knoll after the limousine has left the scene.

While many people believed shots came from the Book Depository Building, this film also demonstrates that people felt at least one shot came from the right-front of the car.

The Warren Commission interviewed many witnesses who thought shots came from the Book Depository but very few of the people who ran to the grassy knoll after the shooting.
